The Executive Director of Peace Watch Ghana, Madam Nyankonpa Daniels, is calling for a thorough investigation into the recent military helicopter crash, suggesting the possibility of sabotage.

Her demand follows the death of Defence Minister Dr Omane Boamah, who was reportedly investigating the disappearance of military ammunition.

According to Madam Daniels, the circumstances surrounding the crash "do not sound right," and she believes authorities should "leave no stone unturned." She speculates that individuals within the military command may have orchestrated the crash to prevent the ongoing probe into the missing ammunition from becoming public.

Dr Boamah had confirmed in July 2025 that an investigation was underway into the transfer of military ammunition to the National Security Secretariat in 2024, which had gone unaccounted for.
