The town of Kwahu-Obomeng, known for its strong community spirit, held a candlelight vigil on August 10, 2025, to honour the late Dr Omane Boamah.
Residents gathered together in solemnity to pay their respects.
The event which was organised to pay tribute to the late Dr Omane Boamah, a distinguished figure and native who served as the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Ghana was shared on Edhud X account on August 10. "Kwahu-Obomeng holds a candlelight vigil in honour of the late Defence Minister, Dr Omane Boamah, a native of the town," the caption accompanying the post read.
This vigil, a moving display of unity and remembrance, drew hundreds of people from all walks of life, each holding a flickering candle that illuminated the night with both light and sorrow.
