Ghanaian midfielder Augustine Boakye made an impressive start to the 2025/26 Ligue 2 season, playing a key role in Saint-Etienne's thrilling 3-3 draw with Laval.
Boakye, who endured a challenging debut campaign in Ligue 1 last season, scored one and assisted another as the Greens fought from behind to secure a point in their opening fixture.
After a lively start that saw two early goals, the 23-year-old put Saint-Etienne ahead in the 35th minute with a well-taken finish.
Laval, however, equalised just before halftime to send both sides into the break level.
