The Mental Health Authority (MHA) has condemned the circulation of graphic images showing the charred remains of victims from Wednesday's military helicopter crash, describing the act as unethical, disrespectful, and deeply harmful to grieving families.
In a statement issued on Friday, August 8, 2025, the Authority expressed disappointment over the publication of disturbing visuals of the eight public servants who lost their lives while on national assignment near Adansi Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region.
The MHA stressed that publishing such content not only disrespects the deceased but also inflicts further emotional pain on their loved ones.
It reminded journalists and online publishers to uphold ethical standards, particularly in moments of national grief. "The privacy and dignity of the bereaved must always be respected.
