A leading member of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has described the demise of the Director of Elections of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, as an immeasurable loss.
In a post on X on Friday, August 8, 2025, Gabby Otchere-Darko described the late Minister of Defence as having been instrumental in the fortunes of his party. "With Dr Omane Boamah's passing, NDC has lost a most formidable political strategist.
From his CJA days before 2008 to steering the 2024 elections, he was instrumental in NDC's fortunes.
At his age, he had more active decades ahead as their strategist.
