Former member of parliament for Dome-Kwabenya constituency, , has declared her support for Dr Bawumia as the 's flagbearer ahead of the presidential primaries.
Adwoa Safo has chosen the former vice president ahead of her one-time lover, Kennedy Agyapong, who is seen by many as a strong contender in the race.
In a short video shared on the social media platform X, the former legislator declared that she is in the camp of former vice president, Dr Bawumia, who is staging a second bid to lead the NPP as its presidential candidate.
When asked why she decided to snub Ken, who is the father of her two kids, Adwoa Safo explained that "this is politics, this is not family matter ." The former minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection has mentioned in previous interviews that ahead of the 2008 parliamentary primaries of the party, which was held in 2007, her then husband abandoned her.
