Villarreal CF have addressed the legal case involving new signing Thomas Partey, emphasising their respect for the principle of innocent until proven guilty.
The 32-year-old Ghana midfielder joined the La Liga club on a free transfer this week after his contract with Arsenal expired in June, signing a two-year deal.
Partey has been charged in England with five counts of rape involving two women, and one count of sexual assault against a third woman â allegations he strongly denies.
The alleged incidents took place between 2021 and 2022 during his time at Arsenal.
