The Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) has expressed sorrow over the deaths of eight people who perished in Wednesday's helicopter crash in the Adansi District of the Ashanti Region.
In a statement signed by its president, Dr James Condua Orleans-Lindsay, GREDA extended condolences to President John Dramani Mahama, the Government of Ghana, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the bereaved families, and friends of the victims.
The association described the deceased as "distinguished officials of the State and gallant servicemen" who were on an urgent national assignment when tragedy struck on August 6, 2025. "GREDA joins the nation in mourning and solemnly commits to the three days of national mourning declared by the President of the Republic," the statement said.
The organisation concluded by praying for the souls of the "eight national heroes" to rest in peace.
