The OneGhana Movement has described the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight individuals, including Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Defence and Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, and Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, as a painful national loss.

In a statement issued on Thursday, August 7, 2025, the group described the two deceased ministers as exemplary public servants who embodied the values of patriotism and accountability. "We honour the memory and legacy of the departed ministers and the other passengers on the helicopter.

Their loss is felt deeply not just within their immediate circles but across the entire country," the statement read.
