The Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), has issued a stark warning about the agency's significant underfunding compared to its counterparts. "EOCO's budget stands at GH¢110 million, yet we are one of the most underfunded security agencies among our counterparts.

Honestly, when I see my colleagues from other agencies, I feel quite sad," he stated during a press conference on GHOneTV.

He emphasised that increased financial support is crucial for EOCO to enhance its capabilities and effectiveness.

Archer highlighted the urgent need for greater investment in EOCO, stressing that adequate resources are essential to combat financial crimes and organised criminal activities. "Especially when consulting with some of the more advanced agencies around the world, I believe there is much that these agencies can offer if we pay a little more attention," he remarked.
