A former Deputy Defence Minister, Major Derrick Oduro (Rtd), has ruled out claims that a mechanical fault may have caused the helicopter crash at Adansi on August 6, 2025.
With experience with the Ghana Armed Forces and their maintenance routine, he doubted the accident was caused by a mechanical fault.
He explained that with the strict routine and the highly professional fly officers, it will be very rare that a mechanical fault caused the crash.
Major Derrick Oduro (Rtd), who was speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM's Ekosiisen, said, "This can only be about bad weather and not a faulty helicopter.
