Renowned filmmaker Ivan Quashigah has been appointed as the Chairman of the newly inaugurated Board of the Ghana National Film Authority (NFA), following a presidential appointment in accordance with the Development and Classification of Film Act (Act 935).
The Board was officially inaugurated on Monday, August 4, 2025, with the mandate to regulate, promote, and support the growth of Ghana's film industry.
Established in 2016 under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, the NFA plays a crucial role in the classification of films, policy advocacy, and industry development.
Quashigah, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Farmhouse Productions, brings decades of experience and innovation to the role.
