Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Shamima Muslim clashed with Lawuratu Musah-Saaka, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications team, over the prices of goods and services in the country during the Tuesday, August 5, 2025 edition of the Good Morning Show.
During the panel discussion on Metro TV, Shamima Muslim described some NPP communicators as "jandam propaganda communicators," who are doing all they can to discount the strides the country has made so far under the John Dramani Mahama government.
The term "jandam" is used to describe a type of journalism perceived as deceptive or manipulative.
The Deputy Presidential Spokesperson stated that despite Ghanaians attesting to a reduction in the prices of goods and services, NPP communicators are channeling out false narratives to claim that prices are getting worse. "Even with agricultural products that are seasonal, we are seeing marginal drops in prices.
