Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after appearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, where he was charged with multiple sexual offences.   The 32-year-old Ghanaian international is facing five counts of rape involving two women and an additional charge of sexual assault relating to a third woman.

The alleged incidents are said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022, during his time at the Premier League club Arsenal.Partey's court appearance comes just days after his contract with Arsenal ended in June, with reports suggesting he is now set to sign with Spanish side Villarreal.

Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring acknowledged this development during proceedings, stating: "I understand he's no longer employed in this country and playing in Spain now." Wearing a black zip-neck jumper and holding a navy blazer, Partey appeared composed as he stood in the dock with his arms behind his back.

He confirmed his identity and acknowledged that he understood the bail conditions set by the court.
