Presidential hopeful and former General Secretary of the (NPP), Ing Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has issued a passionate appeal to members of the party to return to its foundational values of sacrifice, humility, and service, warning against the growing culture of materialism and self-interest.
Speaking at a public forum to mark the 78th anniversary of the formation of the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC) - Ghana's first political movement - Ing Agyepong urged the party faithful to rekindle the spirit of nationalism and principled leadership upon which the NPP's tradition was built. "We must respect and reward those who have sacrificed for the party and the country - not those who have become overly acquisitive in life," he stated.
The commemorative event was organised by the Patriotic Institute, in collaboration with the NPP Council of Elders, and was chaired by veteran politician g.
It brought together party stalwarts, elders, and a vibrant contingent of young political enthusiasts.
