Correspondence from the Ashanti Region District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West, Abubakar Sedik, has committed to improving healthcare infrastructure within the district, promising upgrades to existing Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds to ensure quality care for residents.
This announcement came during a site inspection led by the DCE at a private health facility in Bonkwaso Nõ1, which the Assembly is considering purchasing and renovating.
Mr.
Sedik highlighted the district's commitment to healthcare, stating that a portion of the District Assemblies Common Fund is earmarked for constructing at least two new CHPS compounds annually. "We have decided to purchase a private health facility at Bonkwaso Nõ1 and build another CHIP Compound at Afresini Camp to augment the already existing facilities in the district," he explained, emphasizing that a healthy populace is essential for the district's prosperity.
