Ghanaian media personality and former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Paul Adom-Otchere, has opened up about his brief detention by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), saying that although the conditions were basic, he was not subjected to any maltreatment.

Adom-Otchere was taken into custody on July 31, 2025, over a revenue assurance contract allegedly awarded during his tenure at GACL, which the OSP claims did not follow due process.

He was released on Friday, August 1, 2025, after revised bail conditions were approved, following an initial delay caused by his inability to meet the original requirement of presenting landed property as surety.

Speaking in an interview on Channel One TV on August 4, 2025, the seasoned journalist described the conditions at the OSP's holding facility and clarified reports surrounding his property ownership. "It's a normal place they detain every Ghanaian.
