A joint operation by the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces on Friday, August 1, 2025, has led to the arrest of a suspect found in possession of firearms and ammunition in Nkwanta.
The intelligence-led raid targeted individuals believed to be involved in the recent violent rioting activities that have plagued Nkwanta and its immediate environs.
The operation commenced at approximately 6:15 PM (1815 hours), based on credible intelligence.
The combined police and military team swiftly moved to a location opposite King's Filling Station Down, an area reportedly known for suspected criminal activities.
