The Obuasi Divisional Command of the Ghana Police Service has foiled a robbery mission on the Tutuka-Akrofrom road, Obuasi, after a distress call.
A statement shared on the official Facebook page of the Ghana Police Service on Saturday, August 2, indicated that one suspect was arrested.
According to the statement, preliminary interrogations clarified that the team that responded to the distress call and acted quickly, chanced on a gang of armed robbers who fled into the bush.
They left behind two unregistered motorbikes and a machete. "A swift response from the Obuasi Divisional command of the Ghana Police Service to a distress call foiled a robbery on the Tutuka-Akrofuom road- Obuasi and led to the successful arrest of one suspect.
