The Minority in has apologised to Ghanaians for the implementation of the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP) under the administration, which left many, especially pensioners, suffering significant financial losses due to haircuts on their investments.

The DDEP was introduced as part of the government's economic recovery strategy in response to a severe fiscal crisis.

It aimed to restore debt sustainability by restructuring domestic bonds.

Speaking on the floor of during the 2025 Mid-Year Budget Review on Thursday, July 31, 2025, Minority Leader acknowledged the pain caused by the programme and accepted responsibility for the decision.
