The Member of Parliament (MP) for Akuapem South Constituency, Lawrencia Dziwornu, has called on the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to increase the budget for women's football in the country.

Speaking on the floor of parliament on Tuesday, July 29, Madam Dziwornu stated that she believes the Black Queens will win the next CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) if the government prioritises investment in women's football.
