President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has expressed interest in forging a partnership with the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) to boost youth training and employment through football. "Obviously, you are responsible for job creation and employment.

We also offer similar services, and so clearly, there is synergy," Okraku said during a meeting with YEA officials. "We want to explore opportunities between our two organisations.

You have specialised skills and are specially empowered to ensure that our youth are supported, trained and employed." He stressed that football remains the most loved sport in Ghana and presents numerous opportunities for the youth. "For us in football, we offer opportunities to young boys and girls, using our vast scouting network to identify, nurture and promote talent in every corner of our dear country," he added. "Fortunately, our Honourable Minister is someone deeply connected to football and understands the sport well." The GFA believes a structured collaboration with YEA can help strengthen existing talent pathways and improve long-term employment prospects for Ghanaian youth in sports and related sectors.
