The former Member of Parliament for Subin, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has strongly expressed his displeasure and criticism over the Attorney General's decision to drop charges against accused individuals in the uniBank case.
Appearing on the July 29, 2025, edition of Kokrokoo on Peace FM, the former lawmaker accused the Attorney General of dropping charges against individuals who are affiliated with his political party.
He questioned why the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Chairman Wontumi, was detained without charges, while others against whom incriminating evidence exists have been let off the hook and allowed to walk free. "… Is Wontumi not human?
You detained him without charges, yet those for whom evidence shows clear involvement in a crime have been set free," he questioned.
