The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has released a list of 907 small-scale mining licenses at risk of revocation.

The potential revocations follow a review of existing licenses as part of efforts to sanitize the mining industry in Ghana.

According to a report submitted to the Sector Minister, (MP), on Monday, July 21, 2025, a total of 1,278 licenses were reviewed, of which 316 were cleared of any outstanding issues.

However, the remaining 962 licenses were found to have various irregularities, with 55 already revoked.
