A former presidential staffer, Justice A.
Newton-Offei, has launched a blistering exposé on what he describes as a "clique of greedy, selfish and arrogant individuals" who surrounded President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during his tenure. The former Presidential staffer is accusing these individuals of building a Chinese Wall around President Akufo-Addo and blocking access to the President and derailing his vision for Ghana.
In a strongly worded article, Newton-Offei, who served as a campaign aide to President Akufo-Addo during the 2016 elections, and later a staffer, said the inner circle of power became a barrier between the President and the very people who helped him win power. "They literally built a Chinese wall around the President," he wrote. "Access to the President for some of us that were his campaign aides for the 2016 campaign was made insurmountable by this infinitesimal clique." In an article shared on Facebook page with a public privacy setting and over 27,000 followers, the former presidential staffer said the "demons" with "insatiable greed" pretended to be the only architects of the NPP's 2016 victory While he maintained that President Akufo-Addo himself was a visionary and patriotic leader, Newton Offei said Akufo-Addo's legacy was undermined by this selfish group, who acted at his blindside. "Their prime objective was insatiable greed and obscene selfishness, decorated with objectionable pride of demonic idiopathy," Newton-Offei declared.
The former aide further warned that had the NPP won the 2024 elections, the same clique would have immediately surrounded Vice President Dr.
