Ghana midfielder Iddrisu Baba has opened up on his lengthy injury layoff as he inches close to full recovery following his return to training.  The Black Stars midfielder has been out with injury since November 2024 after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament tear, missing most of the 2024/25 season.

However, Baba rejoined his UD Almeria teammates for pre-season last week as he steps up his recovery.

According to the 29-year-old, he is eager to make a return to the pitch, stating it will be an emotional comeback. "I don't care if it's in an official match or a friendly," Baba said in an interview with the Club's media team. "But I don't know how I'll react when the gaffer tells me I'm playing.

That moment will be special.
