Ghanaian forward Joseph Amankwaah Opoku has signed a contract extension with Belgian Pro League club Zulte Waregem, committing his future to the side until 2027, with an option for a further two years.
The 19-year-old is being rewarded for a breakthrough season in which he made 26 appearances, scored three goals and registered seven assists in the Challenger Pro League.
His contributions were key in helping Zulte Waregem secure promotion to the Belgian top tier.
In a club statement confirming the new deal, Zulte Waregem said, "Joseph Opoku brought a lot of excitement to Essevee fans last season.
