Former Black Stars player Anthony Baffoe has applauded the Black Queens and their technical team for coming third at the 2024 CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The Queens faced off with the Banyana Banyana of South Africa on Friday night to battle for third place at this year's tournament hosted in Morocco.

In the encounter against the defending champions, the Black Queens came from behind to draw 1-1 with the opponent in regulation time, forcing the contest to be decided through a penalty shootout.

Despite failing to convert their first spot-kick, the Black Queens managed to secure a 4-3 win to earn the bronze medal.
