Yakubu Yussif, a 34-year-old marketer and the NDC's Parliamentary Candidate for Mampong in the December 2024 Election, has been unanimously confirmed as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Mampong.
The confirmation came after all 47 assembly members present and voting at a Special General Assembly Meeting held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, voted 'Yes' to endorse President 's nominee.
With this confirmation, Mampong becomes the last of the 261 Assemblies in Ghana to have a chief executive, completing the appointment process across the country.
Prior to Yussif's nomination, the assembly members held a press conference to express their concern about the delay in the nomination, describing it as a hindrance to the development of Mampong.
