President has pledged to construct a fully equipped regional hospital in the Oti Region, describing the absence of such a facility as a serious gap in Ghana's healthcare system. "Access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right.

Yet, the Oti Region remains one of the few without a regional hospital.

I find this unacceptable," Mahama said while addressing residents during his regional tour on Friday, July 23.

The president said his government would act decisively to correct the disparity, explaining that conversations were already underway to bring the promise to life. "We are actively engaging with stakeholders, including the Ghana Health Service and development partners, to establish a fully equipped regional hospital in the Oti Region," he announced.
