Kumasi-based radio station Pure FM has been dealt a devastating blow after a fire gutted its production studio on the evening of Wednesday, July 23, 2025, around 8:00 p.m., during the station's evening drive show.

According to reports, the fire destroyed all equipment in the production room, despite initial efforts to contain it. "The DJ initially attempted to extinguish the flames using a fire extinguisher in the studio, but the blaze spread rapidly due to the presence of flammable materials," one source familiar with the incident noted.

Speaking to Adom News, the General Manager of Pure FM, Kwame Adinkra, confirmed that the station had recently undergone renovations to mark its five-year anniversary.

He described the incident as a major setback and called on commercial partners and listeners to remain patient as the team works to recover.
