Ghana's Finance Minister, Cassiel Ato Forson, PhD, is presenting the mid-year budget review to Parliament today, July 24, 2025.

The Mid-Year Budget Review is also in line with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921), which mandates the Minister of Finance to update Parliament on the execution of the national budget and provide an outlook for the rest of the fiscal year.

Before this day, the minister had been spotted in market centres and on the streets soliciting feedback after managing Ghana's economy for six months.

In a post shared via social media he said "At my vetting, I made a firm commitment to the Ghanaian people: to stabilise the exchange rate, reduce inflation, and create jobs.
