Black Satellites coach Desmond Ofei says he is pleased with Ghana's third-place finish at the 2025 WAFU B U20 Boys Cup, after his side defeated Niger 2-0 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

Speaking after the match, Ofei praised his youthful squad for stepping up following disappointment at the U20 AFCON earlier this year. "It's good for us because we gave a lot of opportunity to new and young talented boys and we showed quality in some moments.

Unfortunately against Ivory Coast we gave it away but it's football," he said. "We learned and today we showed that if you do the right things there's a lot of quality in this country and we have to continue to work hard and stay focused.

So I'm really happy for the boys and for the third place." Aziz Musibau's brace sealed Ghana's bronze medal.
