The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has refuted claims of an ongoing shortage of Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK) fuel in Ghana, assuring the public and airlines that adequate supplies are available for all aircraft operations.
In a statement issued on Thursday, July 24, 2025, the Ministry noted that recent reports of an ATK shortage are false and should be disregarded.
It stressed that there is no cause for alarm as sufficient fuel stock is in place to meet operational needs. "Recent maintenance work was completed on the ATK jetty pipeline to enhance fuel security.
This was long overdue, and any delays would have posed risks to the integrity of the jetty and the country's fuel security," the statement said.
