President John Dramani Mahama has credited the ongoing Reset Agenda of the current National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to the solid foundation laid by the late President Professor John Evans Atta Mills through his Better Ghana Agenda.
Speaking during a wreath-laying ceremony held on Tuesday, July 23, 2025, to mark 13 years since Prof.
Mills' passing, President Mahama said the event was more than just a ritual - it was a national duty and a moment of reflection on leadership guided by values. "If there's one lesson we draw from the life of President Mills," he said, "it is that no challenge is insurmountable when we lead with integrity, when we listen with empathy, and when we govern with principle." Describing the late President's leadership, Mahama remarked: "Professor Mills governed this country with a deep moral compass.
He placed truth over expediency, people over politics, and the country over self." President Mahama also praised Mills' style of governance as one rooted in service, integrity, and discipline - a sharp contrast to politics of insults and personal attacks.
