The Upper Manya Krobo District Assembly in the Eastern Region has successfully recovered a total of GH¢67,900 in funds that were allegedly misappropriated by three of its staff.
According to a report by starrfm.com.gh on July 23, the recovery followed an internal investigation initiated by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Emmanuel Kwasi Lawer, who uncovered discrepancies in the Assembly's Internally Generated Funds (IGF).
The funds, believed to have been misappropriated between 2024 and early 2025, were refunded by the three officers implicated in the matter.
