Ghana's Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, held a closed-door meeting with the Black Queens ahead of their crucial Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) semi-final against host nation Morocco on Tuesday night in Rabat.
The meeting, held at the team's hotel in Rabat, was to assure the players and technical team of the government's full support as they prepare for one of the biggest matches in the country's recent women's football history.
Kofi Adams, who arrived in Rabat to offer morale support, conveyed the nation's pride in the team's performance so far and urged them to go a step further by reaching the final.
The Black Queens, chasing their first WAFCON final appearance since 2006, are expected to face a hostile atmosphere at the 53,000-capacity Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, which will be filled with home fans backing the Atlas Lionesses.
