Veteran New Patriotic Party (NPP) politician and former presidential hopeful, Dr.
Kofi Konadu Apraku, has called for greater inclusion and grassroots engagement within the party as it navigates a challenging political landscape ahead of the 2024 elections.
Speaking during the ongoing NPP National Delegates Conference at the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday, July 19, 2025, Dr.
Apraku emphasized the need for a leadership style that involves more people in key decision-making processes and in the implementation of party policies. "We need to get a lot more people involved in some of the decisions that we make and also help them to be able to implement them because they understand them," he said. "People want to feel like they are needed and in politics everybody is needed.
