Defence Minister Dr.

Omane Boamah has reiterated that enlistment into the Ghana Armed Forces is not for sale.

He says enlistment will be for deserving citizens and not those who can pay their way out through the system.

Making this known after his working visit to the 1 Garrison of the Ghana Armed Forces, he said "Let me repeat: Recruitment and enlistment into the Ghana Armed Forces is not for sale; and will not be for sale under my #EAGLEEYES watch." He used the opportunity to assure soldiers of government's commitment to their welfare, indicating that their services are valued. "To our troops, I say: your service is valued, and we're working hard under President Mahama's #ResettingGhana agenda to ensure your welfare and safety".
