Two members of the (NPP), Shamsudeen Iddrisu and Kwadwo Boateng, have filed an application at the Accra High Court seeking an interlocutory injunction to stop the party's upcoming National Delegates Conference scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

According to court documents sighted by GhanaWeb on Thursday, July 17, 2025, the two plaintiffs are praying the court to issue: "An order of interlocutory injunction restraining the defendant from organising the Extraordinary National Delegates Conference pending the final determination of the instant suit." In his supporting affidavit, Kwadwo Boateng stated that he is a card-bearing member of the NPP in the Bantama Constituency, located in the Ashanti Region.

He further noted that the NPP's structures, conduct, and internal procedures are governed by the party's constitution.

Citing relevant sections of the party's constitution, Boateng argued, "Every year, at least four weeks before the Regional Annual Delegates Conference, a Constituency Annual Delegates Conference must be held in every constituency.
