President has nominated Ibrahim Ossahaq as the District Chief Executive for the Atwima Mponua District and Yakubu Issifu as the Chief Executive for the Asante Mampong Municipal Assembly.
The nominations, announced in a press release dated July 17, 2025, by the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, mark the completion of the President's selection of Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) since assuming office on January 7, 2025.
The nominations were made pursuant to Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).
According to a statement signed by the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, Ahmed Ibrahim, the appointments will take effect upon confirmation by the respective assemblies.
