The Speaker of , , has referred four individuals nominated by President for deputy ministerial positions to the Appointments Committee for vetting.
The referral was announced during parliamentary proceedings on Thursday, July 17, 2025, following a communiqué from the President.
The nominees are Dorcas Affo-Toffey, MP for Jomoro, nominated for Deputy Minister for Transport; James Gyakye Quayson, MP for Assin North, nominated for Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs; Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP for Sissala West, nominated for Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations; and Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP for Essikado-Ketan, nominated for Deputy Minister for Health.
The nominations were first announced by the Minister for Government Communications, Felix Ofosu Kwakye, on July 9, 2025.
