Chief Executive Officer of Hasaacas Ladies Football Club, Evelyn Nsiah Asare Owusu, is confident that the Black Queens are now a more refined side heading into the quarterfinals of the 2024 CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

Speaking exclusively to Citi Sports after Ghana's emphatic 4-1 win over Tanzania, Nsiah Owusu stated that the team had learned valuable lessons from their earlier group stage struggles and are now better prepared for the challenges ahead. "They – the girls – are good, but I think they have to take their time," she noted. "Our first and second game, it's not that we didn't do well, but we were in a hurry to score, and when you are in a hurry to score, you make so many mistakes.

But I think that they have corrected their mistakes." Ghana's journey in Group C started with a 2-0 loss to South Africa, followed by a 1-1 draw with Mali before sealing qualification with the big win over Tanzania.

Their quarterfinal clash is scheduled against Algeria on Saturday, July 19 at 16:00 GMT.
