The Minority in has condemned the National Women's Organiser of the (NDC), Dr Hanna Louisa Bisiw-Kotei; and Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Malik Basintale; for justifying the assault on the former Minister of Fisheries and Acquaculture Development, , during the recent Ablekuma North parliamentary election rerun.
Addressing the press on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the Member of for Atiwa West, Laurette Korkor Asante, called on President John Dramani Mahama to immediately dismiss the government officials who justified the political violence. "President Mahama must immediately dismiss Dr Hanna Louisa Bisiw-Kotei from her position as CEO of the Minerals Development Fund and Malik Basintale from his role as Acting CEO of the Youth Employment Agency.
Their celebration and justification of violence against opposition figures disqualifies them from holding any public office.
This dismissal must happen to demonstrate that the government does not condone political violence," she remarked.
