In a turn of events that reads like a blockbuster movie, a young Ghanaian small-scale miner, popularly known as a Galamseyer, has become the country's newest millionaire thanks to a GHC 6 bet on betPawa's Aviator platform.
Prince Adusei, a former miner based in Kumasi, staked just GHC 6.50 on Aviator and walked away with GHC 2 million, marking one of the most extraordinary gaming wins in Ghana's recent history.
Prior to the win, Prince earned a daily wage of GHC 150 from illegal small-scale mining operations. "I had placed the bet, and then my network went off," Prince recounted. "When it came back, I couldn't believe what I saw.
I thought it was a scam, so I switched off my phone." To test if the win was real, Prince first withdrew GHC 5,000 and it was credited.
