Italy-born Ghana international Emmanuel Gyasi has joined Serie B side Palermo on a season-long loan. The 31-year-old signed for his hometown club from Empoli, with Palermo having the obligation of making the deal a permanent one.
The experienced midfielder is expected to play a significant role at the Pink and Black as they eye a return to the Italian topflight league. "Palermo FC announces the acquisition of Emanuel Gyasi from Empoli FC.

Emanuel was welcomed to Palermo by City Football Group, President Mirri, and the entire Palermo family,' wrote the club welcoming the 3-time capped Black Stars player. Gyasi has enormous experience in the top two leagues of Italy, having starred for Spezia to secure their promotion to the Serie A in 2020.
