Former Black Stars head coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has advised footballers to keep their personal lives out of the public eye.
His comments follow recent revelations by midfielder Justice Blay, who in an interview with Kumasi-based Pure FM, accused his former Asante Kotoko teammate Kwame Opoku of allegedly taking his girlfriend.
Blay also alleged that Mohammed Camara and Joseph Ablorh were involved in smoking shisha and excessive drinking.
Reacting to the developments, Akonnor described Blay's remarks as regrettable and urged players to refrain from discussing personal matters in the media. "Players must learn to keep their private lives discreet," Akonnor told 3Sports. "This should be a lesson to both clubs and players.
