A leading member of the Movement for Change, Solomon Owusu, has blamed former President for the prevailing challenges in the (NPP).

He accused him of remaining silent while the party suffered what appeared to be an internal breakdown under the leadership of former President Akufo-Addo.

Speaking on TV3's New Day on Wednesday, July 16, and monitored by Ghana Web, Solomon Owusu expressed disappointment in former President Kufour's silence over critical issues that happened within the party over the years, stating that he expected better from someone who once inspired him to join the party. "He was the last person I was expecting to come out at this time to speak to the challenges in the party because interestingly, he's one of the two people that inspired me in the NPP.

However, his life after leaving office is nothing to write about," he stated.
