Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced renewed bilateral momentum between Ghana and Australia following what he described as "a fantastic engagement" with the Australian High Commissioner to Ghana, Her Excellency Berenice Owen-Jones.

Ablakwa revealed that both nations are looking to deepen collaboration in key sectors vital to sustainable development and economic growth. "We underscored the renewed momentum of Ghana-Australia bilateral relations and committed to accelerating the gains," he wrote in a post shared on his official Facebook page.

According to him, discussions centered on expanding cooperation in mining-particularly lithium-green energy transition, agricultural research, and academic scholarships. "Both countries are determined to expand ongoing cooperation in mining, lithium and green transition, agriculture research and scholarships," he added.
