Managing Director of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) PLC, Edward Ato Sarpong, has highlighted the importance of round-the-clock banking services in accelerating Ghana's economic transformation under the government's 24-hour economy agenda.

Speaking on the launch of ADB's new 24-hour banking operations at the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) in Tema, Mr.

Sarpong explained the broader vision behind the move. "The 24-hour economy is not just about working round the clock but about creating added value and decent jobs towards higher productivity," he said.

The initiative, which took effect on July 1, 2025, is tailored to meet the financial service needs of key players in the port and logistics industry.
